2008 4 runner V8 O2 codes

Family member has this vehicle the codes are 0036/0136/0138. these all say that the Bank 1 sensor 2 O2 heater circuit or the sensor heater is defective. what side is this sensor driver or passenger ? GM vehicles bank 1 is the driver side . what is the O2 fuse name with this O2 sensor ? I understand this is in the under hood fuse box . anyone find this a common failure ? My searches reveal this is a common toyota failure. dealership wants 800.00 USD to replace both sensors did not say what both are . looks like only one is indicated with these codes .. thanks for any info etc,,.

I'm more familiar with an '09 Tundra but on the 4.7 the left/drivers side is B1. (v sixes are the opposite). Related fuses and relays are marked 'A/F heater'. Yes, underhood fuse box. If replacing go with OEM or Denso. Check wiring for melting and shorting and connectors for corrosion. I believe voltage should be 0.8 - 1.4

I got the denso O2 sensor from amazon for 50 USD. this is the V8 engine so driver side downstream is the one I will change in the next few days. I got some more info about this failure ..It appears the vehicle was driven threw a deep amount of water as the road was filled due to a downpour. Then shortly after the CEL came on and I guess this may be the cause .. the O2 is the exact same sensor as the ones used on my 2000 silverado except for the connector. the O2 heater resistance is 16.3 OHMS black wires. thanks for the info .

repaired the vehicle. what happened was the downstream sensor was replaced 50 USD amazon very easy 20 MIN job. then the DTC came up shortly after as 0031 code. this is the heater circuit of bank one sensor one out of range. checked the A/F fuse and the A/F relay both good. got new sensor 100 USD amazon denso 234-9051 .. replaced sensor no codes. measured sensor heater resistance open circuit. sensor looked very new clean but the heater circuit of the sensor was burned out. to replace this upstream sensor the front tire must be removed to get access to the sensor connector.............

You'd be surprised who's contracting who for parts. My company GMC van uses Akebono brake calipers... OEM!
Glad ya got it fixed and to be of help. Happy Holidays, Charlie.
