Exclamation Help needed

I bought my baravada six months ago with 100,000 miles on the odometer. Recently as I'm driving down the road my transfer case has a rhythmical squeak coming from it. My college teacher and i think its the transfer case motor. I have a new one for it just never installed it. What is all involved in changing the motor? Also now when ever i hit a pot hole or a bump a grinding noise starts but as soon as i put my foot on the brake then it goes away until i hit another bump or pot hole.
