Is a Torque Wrench a "must have" for Changing Valve Cover Gaskets???

I am about to change my valve cover gaskets this weekend but was told that I may need a torque wrench. The gaskets feel like a light metal, they aren't the paper kind of gaskets. Do you think that I should definitely use a torque wrench or can I just snug it up good but not too tight?

Thanks for the help! :-)

Always use a torque wrench on valve cover gaskets. An in-lb type. Do you have the bolt torque figures?

I found one to borrow and got that all put back together... thank you for the info. Now I am to the point where I need to get the timing chain and gears back on... http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul....php?t=1070985
