First You Gotta Decide What Kinda of Budget you got to do a swap and really any decision after that will be based on the $$ you wanna shell out.

It also depends on what kind of mechanic skillz you have. You will save yourself up to a grand if you do it yourself.

If you wanna know cost i am almost done my b16a1 swap in a 88 civic hb and i am looking at about two grand right now and i did some extras than what was just needed.

If you tell me what kind of car you have and what kinda budget you got. I can try to give you some websites and other info to help you out.

Some dealers will give you a pick of what your actual engine looks like before they send it. Sometimes you can ask but most of the guys selling engines don't even have them... they just get them shipped from a warehouse. I have heard of some people getting a piece of crap when the were shown a good picture but i ask for a pic of what i was getting.

Well by you budget I would have to say you would want to go with a B16a1 swap.

First off you should really think about everything you will need depending on what type of Civic you have you not only have to deal with the axles but also some wiring.

If you got a civic si your wiring will be very simpe. If you got anything else you have a good deal of rewiring to do. Unless you have lots of wiring experience(hooking up speakers and amps doesn't count) you gotta look into the wiring harnesses HASport has to offer. This eliminate the headaches rewiring wil cause.

If you get a HASport harness its just a matter of getting a used injector resistor box off a 88-91 Civic/CRX Si, Ex, or HF.

AXLES-Whatever mount kit you get I would go with whatever that manufacture recommends.

MOUNTS- You can save yourself some money by checking out eBay or usually a swap dealer will give you the at cost. Also check forums for used mounts(usually still good and can save you up to $100)

ODDS & ENDS- You have to get all new hoses and if you want to keep your A/C (if you have it) that will add cost with the new A/C bracket you have to buy and to have your system recharged. If just got all the belts and hoses. HASport has there "shopping list" online and you can also check outJDM Parts for other useful info if you want to upgrade you plugs, wires, or anything else.

If you tell me what kinda car you have(year, model, make) i maybe able to give you some cheaper options that will give you almost the same results.
