Good article, but, you might want to get a little more into the nitty-gritty of why VTEC helps make power, rather than just the "nuts and bolts" of it. For example (sorry to seem like an ego-centric prick and site my own writing here), you might want to add something like this (check my third post in the thread):

Nothing overtly wrong as far as I can tell. Your missing VTEC 'activation factor' is oil pressure.
