Is there any downside to getting the UUC Short Shifter? Seriously! (more)
To those of you who have or had the UUC Short Shifter in their e46s, is there any downside to getting this (other than the initial $$$)? Any negatives? How does it hold up? Does it get notchier or noisier or rougher or anything over time? Any trouble from BMW re: warranty issues, etc.? For example, if the clutch goes will they try to pin it on the aftermarket shifter?
In short, what, if any, complaints do you have? I am considering this mod, but I want to be confident that it is a wise move. I find the current shifter a bit long at times, though it admitedly is very smooth most of the time. tghanks in advance |
