if i can fit and sr20det in my pulsar
i have and 88 nissan pulsar with a ca18de i want to put in a sr20det in it. will it match up with engine mounts and maybe the transmission. im in the u.s. so this probaly goes out to people in the u.s. i was thinking maybe one from a nx but unsure.

It is very possible, in fact you have 2 engine choices.
SR20DeT or CA18DeT If you know this already, then skip next parts... The differance is basicly what you want to do and how much ur willing to work at your car. The SR is a bigger motor, so its got more sack in lower RPMs then CA. While the CA has an iron block (vs SR aluminum block) and can rev much higher and sustain much more boost. The SR will fit, but you will have to re-do your engine mounts and do some custom work fitting it in. The CA will drop basicly right in, as u already have a CA. The main thing about CA is that later on, u find you'll run out of store-buyable parts and will start to have to custom build stuff. In the end, both engines are almost the same. If the CA20DeT existed..... it would screw the SR20 in the arse. |

thank u for the info i was also wondering if i got a hold of just the engine would it match up with the same tranny i got in there now?
