My dad passed me his 348 ts when I first got my licence, and I was learning on it since I was 14. Now he has an SL55 ///AMG coming in March, and 2004 SRT-10 Viper for me. ... when I was in grade 12, I gave someone a ride to school in my Ferrari almost every day, and someone a ride home almost every day... You know, let people sit in it, take em around for a bit, let close friends drive it a bit, im nice!

I think that the kids with the NOS'd Supras and the turbo'd civics are in more danger than a kid with a ferrari. No a 16 year old that just got his/her liscense should not be able to go home to mom and dad and say " i want a F40 " and have them go buy him/her one. Thats stupid. Even the richest of the rich i would HOPE would have SOME head on their shoulders that MAXIMUM POWER + MINIMUM AGE = BAD
I know im only 15 and my first car is a 1992 Toyota Pickup. I mean..i cant get in much trouble with that. But a friend at school..his dad bought a 550 for his buisness. But when he turns 16 he is writing it off in his name and paying his sons insurence on it. THAT right there is INSANE. A 16 year old driving one of the worlds most advanced automobiles is just not right. YES, I would love a ferrari when im 16...but my parents (and many otheres on the forums) are not bloody rich that they can spend 500 dollars on a dinner or go buy a 550 when they feel they wants to expand the garage. But for right now..if i had a ferrari in the garage and my 92 pickup and i was going out driving for a while..id take my pickup..because i KNOW my limits and i know that i couldn't handle speeds in access of 110 at the moment. And for Para...dont get the lambo..they are too snobbish and they are a hell to fix. A guy in town bought a 99 roadster. And a new foglight for the front cost in excess of 200 USD. SO GO FOR THE 355 or Barchetta. But whatta bout an Aston MArtin??? They make convertibles...they arent the fastest beasts in the land..but comfort + speed + luxery + nice looks + convertible = Ill take one

You're right, 16yr old kids and Ferraris dont mix. If i had a Ferrari in my garage at that age (and it was my dad's) i would want to drive it, i just wouldnt go nuts in it. Its all about knowing your limits. |
