Zx2 engine swap

cherped 2nd easy as hell, the forward clutched were going

how could you tell the forward clutches were going? ( break it down for me, i dont speak tranny well)

would a decent hesitation between 1st ans 2nd followed by a lurch forward when it actually takes the gear dictate that?

damn you have a slipping tranny already? hell my contour has 137k on a stock CD4e (which is WORSE then a zx2 tranny).. what the hell do you do? spin the tires everytime you can, nuetral drops?

i'll devbate that..i never did any N drops or even raced in my auto..and teh tranny went at 20k. my frined had just boltons on his auto, and never raced..tranny went at 40k.....

zx2 autos are known to go about ever 25-30k, unless VERY well kept.

i havnt done any n drops, or spun the tires much... i have tromped it a couple times. but nothing too serious.

what would a kick dictate to you there altec. when i put it in gear, in particular reverse, and i use no gas whatsoever, and the car will grab and literally jerk backwards. this also happens in drive, but not as severe.

it could be a simple speed sensor, you get VERY hard shifts with my car when it goes.

I am new to this tranny stuff so be kind. my car also shifts very hard when put into gears it also revs and dosnt go faster when in drive. what is happening and how do i fix it?

if your an auto...its slipping that it to a shop

manual.....get a new clutch

stick: requires unbolting the tranny from the engine, (they may be able to do it in car, or maybe not), from there the clutch assembly is bolted to the back of the motor, that is removed, new goes in, everything is bolted back up. that is the quick and clean version, it can get real complicated real fast if things arent going your way. cost.... depends clutch cost+ labor= total, depends on the shop.

auto: got no fricken idea. working on autos scare the crap out of me.
