Electrical Issue- 2001 Mazda 626 ES V6
2 days ago, I was driving my 2001 Mazda 626 ES V6 with the a/c and radio on. While I was driving, the radio blanked out a couple of times then the TCS and Airbag lights came on and stayed on (though the lighting was faint). The check engine and charging system warning lights did not turn on at all. I turned off the radio and a/c and made it back to my home (about 2 miles (5 minutes) from when the malfunction started). As soon as I turned off the ignition I tried to start the car again and the engine would not turn over at all. There was just a clicking sound. Yesterday morning, I tried to start the car and it started without a problem. I also drove for 10 miles for approximately 20 minutes with the a/c on full blast and the radio turned on. The malfunction I experienced the prior day did not occur at all. After I turned the car off I tried to start it again 3 times and it worked fine every time. I also used it briefly with no problems later in the day. What do you think caused this malfunction and how do I address it so I don't get stranded somewhere?

How old is your battery?
I would check the battery cables. |
