first time resin and photo etch aaaaaaargh
Hello
I recently bought a renaissance open door conversion kit for a Tamiya Porsche Gt 2 kit. It includes a resin door and a couple of photo etch goodies. You schould use the photo etch to lay it down on the window frame put the fit is horrible. The photo etch is correct but the door isn't. How to solve this ? I Have a pic of a porsche with that transkit. But it seems to me the builder cut off the original window frame and just gluid the window and the photo etch together. Blurry pic but i resized it to see it better. What do you guys think ? Thanks |

Yup that's exactly what it looks like to me too!
Wonder how he reinforced the PE part though? It can't just simply be glued to the top of the door like that! Hmmm looks like he left the bottom section just above the door intact.

How about gluing the photoetch piece to the door frame then cleaning up the excess resin by sanding it flush using the photoetch part as your guide.Would that work?
