Angry Trany pull and new trany case...

Ok the other day I busted my tranny on a median when i was forced into it... It didnt even knock my car outta alignment but i jacked her up and took a peak at my exaust, headers... bottom of my front lip... my axel... my cv boots anything that may have been damaged.. Well nothing was damnged except a part of the trany case...
Toward the back of the car along the crack that splits the case in too and that is normaly sealed there is about 2 and a half inches where one side of it is about 1/4 an inch higher then the other resulting in a nice big open hole. So what i need to know... because its the first time i would have done this with the sol... How do i pull the trany... im looking for a pretty good tutorial that will show me the main conecters and what i have to do to make my life easy... and Im also looking for a resonably priced manual trans mission case... My del sol is a 96 Si, d16y8 enigine.

Re: Trany pull and new trany case...

if you have a crack, use jb weld.

if it is a hole, get a new case or a whole tranny.

to remove the tranny, remove all wires and bolts holding it. it pretty much drops out from there.

Re: Trany pull and new trany case...

how hard is it to remove a tranny on a del Sol, btw? I will have to take mine out too pretty soon to put in a new clutch and flywheel.
