power to weight and torque

wahts a good power to weight ratio. my aspire has a 12.8 to 1 ratio
835lb 65 hp also whats a good torque rating for a light car like that

There's no way your Aspire weighs 835lbs. My Subaru 360, which is smaller and air cooled weighs 925lbs. I think you're missing a 1 from that number 1835lbs. So you've got 1hp per 28 lbs. of car. I think that the old rule of thumb for muscle cars was 1hp per 15lbs. of car.

1835lbs. sounds right to me, my Yugo which is about the same size weighs in at 1850lbs. I'd doubt it'd be much more lighter than 1800lbs.

thin aluminum is weak. And ford generally tends not to use aluminum.

Ah. there we go. Curb weight of the 94-97 aspire's are 2007-2053 pounds. http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/u...fm/id/2157.htm

I couldn't help but laugh when you said you gained 2HP because you took out the cat.

Taking the cat out doesn't really do much of anything, in fact for the first generation tercels, the engine with the catalyst equipment makes 60hp, and the one without it make 62hp.
