engine information needed

HI, I am in the Dallas TX area and I am looking for someone who has a V12 engine out that I could get some measurements from. I need the bellhousing bolt pattern and crankshaft dimensions. If anyone can help me or if you might know where I could find a CAD drawing with this information I would really appreciate it. Thank you

My customer's engine is an '89 model. I am making an adapter to use a different transmission with this engine. I don't know much about BMW engines. Are all of the V12 bellhousings the same?

Re: engine information needed

I do believe that from 88-94 (known as the "E32") the transmissions were the same transmission. The V12 engine design changd a little after 92/93, mostly cosmetic, but I'm not sure if the bell housing is the same or not. Transmission is a ZF 4HP22. I'll do a bit of digging and see what I can come up with.

The E38 (95-02) were a bigger V12, 5.4L instead of 5.0L in the E32, and the transmission is a ZF 5HP24 I believe.

2003 and newer I have no idea. I do believe they kept with the ZF transmission but I could be wrong. But the E65/66 (03-10) were a 6.0L V12.

Thanks, This engine is an M70 from a 750il. He is building a Lamborghini replica and I am making an adapter to use a Porsche transmission with this engine. I have found an engine locally that I can take measurements from but I was concerned about whether all of the V12s are the same bellhousing and crankshaft bolt patterns. I will take measurements and send to my customer to compare to his engine before I make the parts.
