Re: Oil

start checking after 3.5 quarts. Mine usually holds about 4-4.5 quarts, but each car is a little different.

And use 5w30 unless you're racing regularly. I run 5w30 in my daily driver, and Redline 10w50 high performance (at friggin $12 a quart) in my hybrid

Re: Oil

Raziel, what model do you have? be sure to change the filter too. its easier to get the filter off from the underside if you jack the car up and put it on stands.

Re: Oil

Full synthetic, 7,500 mile rated, 5w30, penzoil/castrol oil. My B16a2 is rated for 4.2 quarts. Other models my book says 4.0 quarts. If you are redlining it a lot, don't.

Re: Oil

Oh yeah, I change my 7,500 mile oil every 3,000 still.

My cousin has a 4g63 Talon (FAST) and he uses full synthetic and changes every 800. But that is a different story. I recocomend changing it more often if you beat on it.
