Tips to help you sell your car

Hey i have a 98 sebring lxi and its got bad paint, and a not so great interior (other than the sound system) and i was wondering what you guys think i could do to help it sell fast and for alot. On the mechanical side of things its perfect, the motor is almost new cus ive put so much into it, and it only has like 98000 miles.
I was thinking fresh paint, and add a spoiler.
paint the rims to match or black.
and then the carpets need to be replaced badly so i was thinking buy custom fit floor mats so itll cover it but they cost a ton, so i had an idea of doing my own carpeting by just buying some at homedepot and cutting and fitting it myself...anyone tried this??
and put some tints on the head and tail lights.

what do you guys think??? i think itll make it look great and thats all i can think to do.

thanks

Re: Tips to help you sell your car

No offense, but a '98 Sebring won't bring you much on the used market, I'd sell it for what you can get as-is. Otherwise you'll be pouring your money into a car that may or may not sell, and if it does sell, you likely won't get the price of the paint out of it.

Actually I'm going to add to my last post, let me clarify 'as-is'. Detailing your car goes a long way to improving the potential value of your used car, and its cheap. Wax and polish the paint (even if its in rough shape), clean your interior with car cleaner and vacuum out every speck of dirt, get technical, Q-tip the air vents. Clean up your rims/tires with a polish, same with the engine. For $25 your car will look $500 better.

Re: Tips to help you sell your car

A pro detailer charges about $60.00 to detail one car, wash the outside cleaning the tires too and through out cleaning of the interior. This is what most used car dealers do since they do not have the time to do this. You can do this yourself since you the time to do it.A dirty car does not sell very good and most people walk away from them. There are people out there that use their cars as garbage cans up to the seats.I see this all the time having to clean the car out first before working on it.
