Re: Porsche 924

At first: My compliments on the entire build!

The ride height is very nicely done. And thanks to your detailed pictures, it can help me to solve such problems with other builds.

Re: Porsche 924

Thank you guys.
I have painted the body and chassis with Sikkens. Some scratches from sandpaper was appeared, so I need to delete them and then to cover the surface with clear. The wheel discs and mirrors have already covered with 2K clear.

Re: Porsche 924

Thanks to all.
Today I will show you what happened with the body after clear coating. The red colour has appeared on some surfaces (shown by arrows). I think red plastic has reacted with the clear varnish. I have to repaint these places (both sides of the body).

Some parts was painted by semi gloss black. I used a mix of X-1 (black) and X-21 (matt base) from Tamiya.

Re: Porsche 924

I have found the steering wheel very close to the Momo Corse installed into the friend's car. It needs just a little corrections.

Re: Porsche 924

The new paint job looks awsome (again) en I love how the steering wheel came up. How did you create the rought surface?

Re: Porsche 924

Deathtrap: This is a steering wheel from Revell's Dodge Viper RT/10, and it already have had the rough surface. But it was too rough to my taste. I have added two grooves for the fingers and slightly smoothed the rim surface. Then the steering wheel was painted by airbrush with big distance (about 170-200mm).
