1999 frontier
I have a 1999 frontier with 134,000 miles and I have never changed the timing belt. Is this something I can do myself? I pretty much do all my mechanic work just have never done this.

Re: 1999 frontier
Sure, it is not really a hard task. Just a process that needs to be followed correctly. At 134k I would be thinking about doing it now.

Re: 1999 frontier
Well I figure it's about time for one. I just keep putting it off. I was going to pay a guy to do this and he wants $600 so I am going to do it myself. I figure I can replace alot of extra stuff while I'm at it and still save money.

Re: 1999 frontier
I got the timing belt changed and it wasn't to bad. I went ahead and put new belts and hoses on everything and new thermostat. The hardest thing was the spark plug in the very back it's a booger to get out.
