Vehicle diorama how to's?

I am interested in making a diorama for my F1 and my enzo but I am having problems finding any sites/info on how to build them. Anyone have any links that they can share or maybe some pics of your work? Thanks.

Your diorama is looking great! Looks like a lot of work but I bet it's well worth it. I am really more interested in making "outdoor" dioramas for my kits (street/tracks). Check out the few pics I found on the net of some F1 dioramas. Maybe someone knows of a resource (book or website) that has more specifics on how to build these guys.

Those are excellent! Just use your imagination its really just a decorated box. Tools and details can come from all types of sources, the rest is paint and weathering
Check out Tamiya as I know they have some great figures and tool sets.

Dag...you are absolutely correct. What I was really wondering is how to create the road and get that concrete textured look. I was thinking of maybe using that "Flexstone" spray paint but I think the texture on that will be too rough/big. Maybe apply some very fine grade sand.....glue down with brushed on Elmers glue and then spray gray? Any ideas?

one of the best sources for diorama items is in the model train section ...

for a concrete surface ... hmmm i would say a peice of papersack glued in place and painted the color of the ground you want .. that would have about the closest texture ... besides actually putting down a thin layer of quickcrete or concrete patch material...

Sandpaper painted various shades of grey works well for concrete, and smooth tarmac can be replicated with fine grade wet n dry paper, especially since it has a nice sheen to it that you get with decent tarmac.

I was admiring the same diorama! The movement, the rain, you can really feel the scene. It's so simple, but those ideas make it absolutely amazing. I have never seen anyone use those ideas before. It makes me want to build something similar, but that wouldn't be original and it would be just copying the whole scene. I wish I could come up with something so special.

Where were these pictures taken from and who is the master behind all these works?

Wht not take a trip to those War games places (Games workshop) i think.
i was walking past on in bluewater the other day and they had some giant world thing they were playing on that looked pretty realistic.
Couldnt actualy bring myself to go in as the people in there were extremely "nerdy" and far to many men thinkig they were realy from the matrix! lol.
but im sure thru the window i saw supplies for building diorama stuff.

I believe that place is called Gamers Workshop, I have a friend that plays Warhammer, which i think is what you are talking about "they had some giant world thing they were playing on that looked pretty realistic", he has a room full of dioramas and tiny little figurines, but yea, they make some amazing stuff in those stores, you might wanna go have a look

Some great ideas. FLeckstone might work and can be pressed flat and smoother before it dries.
I agree a train store would be a good lace to visit and some of the game bords I see at my LHS look great.
