Re: Grand Prix "Take a Break" Thread
Well guys I decided to take the plunge. I bought a 2011 Camaro 2SS model, black. See pics. $35K out the door. It has a HUD, RS package and 6 speed manual. LS3 6.2L V8 engine. 426 hp and 420 lb-ft torque. I kept all the other cars (no trade-in) so this is just an addition.

Re: Grand Prix "Take a Break" Thread
Nice.
I like them, and I think GM should have made them no matter what, I just don't think they should have called them a Camaro. There was a nice silver one sitting next to my GP at the dealer when I bought it. Theres also a sick green one running around. We have a red one sitting at our shop in suspension R&D. They are finishing up drop spindles and the like for it.

What I would like to see is them bringing the T-Tops back but that will probably never happen. I wanted a sunroof but the dealer didn't have any available with the options I was looking for. Most were with the automatic tranny. I heard GM will come out with a ZL1 version with the same engine (LSA) the newer Caddy CTS-V has with 556 hp. The Z28 is still up in the air. I'm still trying to get used to the silly start up splash screen you get on the HUD. The LT2 and 2SS models come with HUDs now. 2010 models do not have it. The RS package is nice but I could do without it.

Re: Grand Prix "Take a Break" Thread
Yeah, and I read an article that GM actually "detuned" the 6.2L V8 to 426hp. Maybe you can retune it with your HPtuner and see what you can really get out of it.
Nice ride though!!! I wish I could afford one. Maybe if I ever get to Texas, you should give me a ride. Sorry I havn't been on for a few days. Working two jobs takes up a lot of my time. Even ask Natalie, she's always mad at me these days for never being around and when I am, I'm working on stuff. Go figure. |

Re: Grand Prix "Take a Break" Thread
Still alive and kicking Oscar...thanks for the concern. Been busy at work and with matters outside of AF, FB being one of the bigger ones. My wife pulled me on FB kicking a screaming, but now I'm on there more than she is.

Not really Oscar. When I go to work I still have to operate and work on computers. MS Windows 2003 server based system with SQL Server, LAN and several workstations tied into special military live fire video and training equipment to include targetry. BTW - I have a Facebook account but only use it every now and then. Maybe to see Rich write on his wailing wall.
