anyone else get so bored that they bond with their pets? lol If so, which oneS?

aww i want an african gray so bad! they have the best vocabulary of any bird, so i'd get one to talk to me

sometimes when AF is sorta dead and no one is online to talk to i take my guinea pig out to play with, or my cat, he's cool too.

My friend has 4 or 5 of those birds. Now don't judge me, becuase I have NOTHING to do with it. <--repeat I have nothing to do with this.

But being a pothead himself, he puts a blanket over the cage and will bake out one of the birds every so often. The only humorous part is that the one bird he does this too is extremely mean most of the time. But when it gets high, it really mellows out, and lets everyone hold him and stuff. So that bird will get high and then become the life of the party every couple of months.

So the funny part is, he has this large glass coffee table. The bird doesn't trust it, it's like he can't see the glass. So he will only stand where hte legs/support brackets show through the glass. It goes nuts when it is put in the middle of hte table. It just gets this look, like it cannot understand why it's floating in midair...and then it freaks out and flies to one of hte 'supports'. So now you have this stoned bird freaking out about this, and a dozen stoned idiots circled around in various stages of amazement/laughter/deep concentration and I'm just standing there trying to figure out if the bird or the 12 idiots watching it is funnier.

One of hte last parties, some kids kidnapped the bird and took it on a beer run...so yeah, I'd say there was a decent amount of bonding with that bird

I grew up with 2 African Greys, 3 Cockatoos, an Amazon and a Macaw. All awesome and VERY smart birds. My Cockatoo(Dusty) was my favorite followed by the African Greys(Jocko and Jesse).

I've never really been one to bond with my pets. We had three birds, I think they were cockateils (cant spell), only one I ever realy paid attention to.

We had a cat too, but it was hard to bond with him because whenever I went near him, he'd run away. Probably becuase of all the times I'd throw him onto my parents bed. Good memories, too bad he passed on about three month ago, I miss him...

I used to bond with my grandma's cat. She had 4 but only one would let us play with him. One day we sat in the basement and shared a hot dog. Keep in mind this was back when I was too young to realize A) Cats probably shouldn't eat hot dogs and B) I shouldn't share food with an animal that cleans itself with its tounge.

My mom never let us have pets bucause she's "allergic" (read she doesn't want pets ). I was promised a turlte if I kept my room clean for a whole month, but somehow that deal never went through.
