New Cat Converter No 02 Port
96 Cherokee 4.0 325k So i replaced both my Muffler and Cat Converter this wknd But i noticed that the Universal Cat i bought doesn't have the 02 Port. Is this going to be a problem? im getting the CEL on every so often that tells me that the 02 sensor isn't plugged in. can i somehow bypass this or ???

Re: New Cat Converter No 02 Port
Most cats I have seen have the O2 screwed in upstream of the cat.

Re: New Cat Converter No 02 Port
A lot of cars have a post cat o2 that monitors the car effectiveness.
You can get an o2 bung and weld it in to put the o2 in its proper place. People weld in extra o2's all the time when adding widebands to their turbo cars.

If you don't have a welder most muffler shops could weld in a port for you get price first.
