Re: please help. 94 4runner wont start. not starter or battery

The only ideas I can think of that haven't been mentioned are the solenoid and the starter itself.

Post Re: please help. 94 4runner wont start. not starter or battery

I have read a lot of the posts on this chat and I have noticed many do not refer to the owners manual. Just by reading it has help in guiding me to where items are on my truck. There are 3 fuze boxes on the 95 4Runner, just by reading. The manual has helped me solve simple problems.

Re: please help. 94 4runner wont start. not starter or battery

Some help would be great! i have a 95 4runner Sr5. A few months ago had to replace starter and everything was great afterwards. yesterday went out and started my truck to warm up and turned on running lights, everything was working well and went back inside. came out about 5 mins later and the passenger side front and back running lights were not working,(head lights, break lights and turning signals still worked) thought it was a fuse but no fuses were blown and bulbs are still good. today went out to start my truck and turned the key and click.... all power to everything was gone! not sure if these two instances have anything to so with each other. i have checked the battery and even tried other battery and no go! I can jump the truck from another car and runs. I have read through this forum and wanted to see what people are thinking. please help I love my truck!

Check the wire from the battery positive terminal to the fuse/relay box next to the battery. Many times this wire or the connection becomes bad and causes weird electrical problems.

Re: 93 22RE won"t start after cables installed backwards

93 22RE. Needed a battery. Son started to install backwards. Positive cable started to smoke a little before I noticed it. It did not burn. Now the starter will not turn over, no interior accessory power (radio, turn signals, dome light, etc..) the headlights still work and the door buzzer. It will push start and run fine. Any suggestions????????
