window handle removal
ok, i know there is a special tool for this and ive used it. but i cant seem to get the window handle off the door of my 2004 accent. is there some hyundai specific way to remove it or im i making a dumbass of myself for posting this question? i dont feel like scratching up my brand new interior anymore trying to get the damn thing off, so if someone has any advice or any links to where i could find out the answer that would be great.

Re: window handle removal
As far as I know, it should have the same "Oh Sh** Clip" as most cars, I call it this cause if youre not careful, the clip goes flying and is hard to find....You can buy one of those tools from Matco: DOOR HANDLE TOOL
Part#: DTG170 Price: $7.25 http://www.matcotools.com/Catalog/to...&page=1芛 You may be able to see the clip if you kinda push against the door/pull the handle...But I would check to see if there is a screw holding it on, check the plastic covering the handle. If you are really worried about it I would buy a Chilton manual. Good luck.

take a thin rag, rap it around the thing and pull in the opposite direction. the rag should grip the ends of the clips and pop it off.
