06' Kawasaki ZX-RR *somewhat detailed*

I decided to re-do my first build, the 06' Kawasaki ZX-RR. I picked up some extras for this build:

1.Top Studio superdetail kit
2.Crazy Modeler p/e
3.Tamiya Grade Up parts
4.Tamiya TS Lime Green paint

I am trying to follow builds from the talented folks on this and other forums (Special thanks to Ole_l!)

Here is the engine:

Added: oil line, electrical connections, vin number, ignition wiring and p/e from both sets:

Exhaust: weld lines and pastels/tamiya clear paints

On the engine:

extra little tid-bits

Airbox: CF from Scale Motorsports, tubes and electrical connectors from Top Studio

Stand:

what do think?

You're off to a great start. Looks like you've been working on this one for a bit.

I have been following your thread. I am just hoping that I could do half-as-good of a job as you. Thanks for providing me with a great roadmap.

Re: 06' Kawasaki ZX-RR *somewhat detailed*

A small update:

Started to wire up the electronics in the nose. All the junction boxes are from the TS kit, decals are SMS, the front gaugae surrounds and skeleton work is from CM:

Rear mud guard with the sensors as shown in my PitPass book for 2005 (not sure if its the same in 2006, but whatever – call it an artistic license if you must0

Front fender:

Forks – brass by Tamiya grade up kit, the caliper spacers are TS (which appears to be identical to the MFH kit, correct “Brembo” decals by crazy modeler:

Wheels

Brakes: combination of TS and CM kits, painted in various Testors Metallizers:

Started on the radiator work – still need to be stained, hose claps need to be added and other p/e items need to be added. The hose is silicon that comes with the TS kit:

thats all for now – please comment

You're working fast.... good progress... everything looks great.

I wired all my connectors prior to installing them since I had to heat the shrink tube over a candle and I didn't want to take a chance getting the flame too close to other parts.

Yeah - I worked on the wiring last night - I should have wired them first - but it came out ok in the end. That big main wire bundle was a giant pain...I will post pictures tonight.
