Is there anything special about changing a clutch on a 96 Dodge Viper RT/10

I know it is the T-56 the same tranny that you can put into a mustang. The thing is people at dodge told my friend that has the viper that you need special tools to change it. I have no idea what this guy is talking about but maybe there is something.

If anyone knows please let me know, I told my friend I would do it for him because if he had dodge do it, it would run him approx. $500 and I would do it for a case of beer
