1994 chevy g30 van 5.7 liter

helping a buddy to try and solve a problem with his van.
he has had the truck for approx. 5 yrs
the truck was bought with the cat converter missing.
truck ha run fine until about 2 weeks ago.
it is a 5.7 liter v8 with 160, 000 plus miles on it.

it has a very bad off idle stumble. need to mash the pedal in gear to keep from stalling out.
in the last 2 weeks we have replaced with new parts:
fuel pump
fuel filter
2 new injectors
plugs,wires,cap,rotor
idle air control valve
temp sensor by thermostat
throttle position sensor
egr valve
egr vacuum solenoid
timing was reset to 0 degree
throttle body was cleaned with brake cleaner and again with carb cleaner
o2 sensor

Started it up and it ran at idle but when I put it in gear it dies and is surging again. I took my air cleaner and clearance ring off the throttle body and both injectors are spraying evenly even when it dies out.

anyone have any ideas on what be the problem?

Did you disconnect the timing connector when resetting the timing? Have you checked the advance while running. Those distributors did go bad.

What is the standing fuel pressure (PSI)?

What is the MAP sensor voltage with the engine idling and at KOEO?

With a ratchet turn engine counter clock wise at least 60 degrees to TDC mark the timing mark. Pull distributor cap mark the rotor against the distributor base. Turn engine clockwise until the rotor just starts to move.
Post how many degrees the timing mark moved. If over 10 to 15 degrees your ready for a new timing chain and upper gear a two piece set.
