97 tracker one wheel locks

I have a 97 4 dr 4wd tracker...non abs..the LF wheel locks up. I have replaced every componant relating to the LF brake including the master cylinder. This happens spoadically. When it is locked..I can open the bleeder and relieve the pressure and its fine. ....Please help!!!

sounds like you have a bad caliper. Even though you replaced it as you say you replaced everything on there, it could still be defective.

the previous owner replaced it..and I replaced it again...just to be sure.

what about brake hoses?? were they replaced?

yep....everything from the master cylinder to the wheel...I thought of a proportioning valve..but it doesn't run through one...the line goes straight from the m/c to the caliper...

Try Bleeding The System, Starting With The Right Rear, Then Left Rear, Right Front, Left Front. Just A Shot In The Dark
