Re: New Yugo coming soon
Sounds like an intresting topic.
With fuel prices being a record high it might be a really good time to re-introduce the Yugo to N. America. It'd probably be easier to import them into Canada first. I believe that they get decent mileage don't they? How about a diesel version? About the wooden motor. In my opinion it's possible, although you'd need metal cylinder sleeves, and to do something about the bearing surfaces. The heads couldn't be wood. The real problem is that the oil would eventially soak through. It just wouldn't be worth the effort, and I really couldn't see it being reliable. I really wouldn't be suprised if they used a cork replica motor while designing the car. Like the plastic motors that we can buy for our projects. |
