JoeB, 300ZX TT minus turbos = SLOW car, Maxima is also a slow car compared to sports cars

Mitsubishi minues turbos= slow, and slower.  |

HAHA......very true.....and to bad my maxima worked a non turbo 3000gt SL 5 speed....
Hey joe....I chirrped second gear today....well I floored it for the first time shifted around 4-5000rpm went to second gear got a scratch and had to slow down....didnt mean to....just hard to drive 550 miles and never floor the sucker. I have 593 miles on it now =) People already lined up to race me and I cant drive the damn car without having like 100 people trying to race me

The 02 maxima does a 1/4 in 14.3 seconds with one real time slip on a stock car that I have seen. Going by that......you cant say a mitsuibishi is better all around
sorry to come in in the middle here but I just read up on this post. Transmissions in a Mitsubishi are rather weak, cant handle much power. My friend has a built Stealth twin turbo and the tranny is the weak point on that car. It did a 13 sec 1/4 with like 450hp upgraded turbo's 3.1 liter engine. Looks pretty sad to me. He spent 10 grand.....I am sure you can do better but thats my experience And racing Turbo'ed eclipese in my automatic maxima.....I beat 2, 1 5 speed and 1 auto, both convertables

Heh.....NO.....im just going to tint it, fog lights and spoiler for now.....might buy my cousins C5 hart racing rims.
The floored it three times now....its got some balls...i just need to race someone to see exactly how fast it is 665 miles I think

damn im a maxima fan but i didnt realize how many nissan fans there would be in a mitsu site. Its kinda wacky i just came from teh maxima site to this and its all about maximas.

I raced with 830 miles on my car Joe....Raced a GSR
Off the line 1-2 gear i have him and then he just pulls away from me and beats my ass down. like he gets car lengths. Beat me by about 3-4. Do you think i did damage to my car....i dropped at 3000rpm off the luanch and chirrped second gear because I didnt take my foot off the gas. You said you beat the shit out of your max but that was a v6...so im just worried my car will be bad And the damn altima gear ratios suck...i eat first gear like in literally 3 seconds.

JBL, I think that youll be ok, Its a Nissan, It wont fall apart for a long time.
I wouldnt worry about it. You got rid of the Maxima? Seems like you could of done better with that race in your Altima, if you were the Maxima you would have won. Was his car stock?  |

OK, I think the Altima 5 speed and the Auto Maxima are just as fast as each other. Because When I raced with my GLE Max, it was next to it off the line and it just slowly pulled.
As for his 98" gsr, he had Greddy Exhaust and AEM Cold Air Intake. I lost to GSR's in my Maxima, but I did beat a 4 door gsr that was modded out.
