The design of the strut assembly only has about 3 inches of travel. So when you are breaking or turning or both and hit almost any bump the top of the shock absorber hits the upper mount. The quick fix is to get spring booster clamps and boost it up an inch or so. Chrysler should have used a shorter shock in the strut. This design has a ton of unused travel on the upswing on this overly long shock absorber taking up all the space.
