Leaving the forum

I have tried to be helpful, but too many people ask questions here, without even trying to help themselves like type properly, read responses, or reply to simple questions like "4 or 6 cylinder?". Many just whine and won't listen. I was faulted by admins for poking one lazy poster who insulted me by not reading my replies, so I will no longer contribute content here. I'll spend time at http://nope where I have found help.

Re: Leaving the forum

Bill. Never good to see anyone leave on a negative. I have no idea how long you've been on the forum network but what you have described is a regular occurrence on any forum out there, at least on the 11 forums I've been contributing to nearly every day for many years. It's just something you have to get used to if you want to keep contributing. The way I look at it is I put the info out there for people to read. It's up to them if they want to follow it, contest it, or ignore it. Either way it makes no difference to me because the info I put in a post is there for everyone, not just the original poster. I just hope someone finds it useful whether it's used today, tomorrow, or next year. Believe me, when I first started I couldn't believe some of the garbage I was reading. After time I realized that's just the way it is. Didn't always but mostly managed to bite my tongue long enough to keep from getting booted and yes, I've been booted. Think on it. Hope to see you back. We can use all the experience we can get and it appears you have it in spades. Send me a private message if you want to chat. Ryan

BTW - "Foot in your mouth"? Eh, maybe better left unsaid.
