08 T&C accessories dead after starting

So this is my wifes vehicle so I don't always get the whole story.
I have seen this once or twice over the years.
We have the 2008 T&C Touring 4.3L. Bought it brand new. Now we're up to 80k miles.
The problem is that sometimes after starting the van all off the accessories including lights gauges everything are completely dead.
If I turn the van off and stay it again it will be fine.
Any ideas what this could be? I'm thinking the electrical side of the ignition switch but its so random.
Thanks for the help.

Tough to chase random problems. Besides the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN module), that's your ignition switch, one other player could be the TIPM. That's your fuse box. It controls and distributes much of the WIN output. Do your best to isolate it by shaking wires at both components trying to duplicate it then go from there. Both components have had their histories.

Almost forgot. Some of the functions of the now defunked BCM were integrated into the EVIC, your instrument cluster, to include interior lighting, sliding power doors, tailgate, radio and panel lighting.

Systems integration on the 5th generation vans have made it much tougher for the average DIYer to troubleshot electronics. It usually comes down to an exercise in checking connections and wiring for anything obvious. One option many have is to have the DTC codes read but in your case I'm not sure what good that would do unless you show up at the dealer with the problem showing itself. Unfortunately, you may have to wait till the problem gets worse.

Your key (FOBIK?) plugs into the WIN module. The TIPM is under the hood near the battery. It's a rectangular box that holds all the fuses and relays. Your owners manual talks bout it. EVIC is the instrument cluster (tach, speedo etc).
