Re: What is faster on a track? S7 vs C12-S 7.3
S7 all the way. On the track the Zonda aint got a chance. The S7 has the edge with its body design an how good it is at self creating downforce. S7 faster gearing better numbers and more power. Not mention the experience. Pagani's been around maybe 4 years tops. Saleens 18 years of track experience were incorporated into this car. An 01 S7 it might have a prayer but an 04 no way in hell. FYI for all you the 04 isnt just putting out better Hp an Tq numbers

I'm not sure, but a new Saleen S7 Twin Turbo would be faster than the new 2005 Pagani Zonda F.
check the link Saleen S7 and S7R The Saleen S7R has won nearly 40 races around the world. It won its class (GTS) in the 2001 12 Hours of Sebring. |

Re: What is faster on a track? S7 vs C12-S 7.3
I donīīt know certainly whose is faster....but even a blind man knows that the Zonda is a beautiful and fast car ...Zonda is awesome...s7 is just another "look likes" race car. s7 is not ugly, but is nothing beside the Zonda. (external design, I mean)
sorry if my english isnīt good enought |

Re: What is faster on a track? S7 vs C12-S 7.3
thatd be interesting because everyone knows the S7 makes a ridiculous amount of downforce, I think its more than the Enzo or definetly near it. Then again the Zonda F was able to get around Top Gear's track faster than the Enzo and MC12, so yea It'd be a hot race

I think the Zonda would give it a run for its money in the corners though

I think it would have a better shot on the straits then corners.

Re: What is faster on a track? S7 vs C12-S 7.3
Thanks. As far the Zonda against the S7, the S7 makes twice as much downforce as the Enzo, and it does it without the Enzo's formula one inspired active aerodynamics. But then again the Zonda definetly makes sufficient downforce as well because they managed to make a racing version of it. Looking at the stats, they both make the same horsepower, both weigh the same, but the S7 has the edge in downforce and lateral acceleration(.99 vs .98), while the Zonda's got the edge in top speed and with its higher revving V12. So judging from this, in the corners it'd be the S7 with its downforce and acceleration, while in the straights it'd be the Zonda with its 220 mph top speed and silky smooth V12. So my guess it still that it would be close. btw, do you have any pics of the S7's chassis?

Re: What is faster on a track? S7 vs C12-S 7.3
The S7 TT has supposedly topped out at 260 mph during testing. The regular 04 S7 I have no doubt could reach 220 easily. The zonda is a torque monster but it's redline is also around 8k (it's no sreamer). As far as weight the zonda is 50 lbs heavier then the S7. The regular o4 S7 is putting 575 hp an 580lbs of tq out. I have no doubt the S7 is the superior car around the track and in a straitline. The Zonda definetly was made for the track as you can tell just by it's shape. It's a rich guys cruiser with some growl. Fast through the straits thats really it. Most cars today unfortunely aren't designed for the track but good for a strait line an topend. Look at the veyron, Slr an even the koenigsegg. The C-GT still isn't a super hardore track car. Really the only ones that are, Are the Enzo, S7, Mc12 an the molser really.
