Re: A farewell to Musashi.
Why couldn't he run those numbers on pump?
He could be running 94 Octane Sonoco gas with meth/alky/water injection. That would allow him to crank the boost on pump gas. 500whp isn't impossible to believe.

Regarding Musashi's Mitsubishi, as far as I knew it was a GTO and there is no such thing as an SL in the GTO trim just the base. and I doubt you would even touch my car running pump, she was doing 530hp back in 1995 and would be making at least 600now after the further mods in 2000. FYI: 530hp Ralliart spec 3000gt completes the 1/4 in 11.2 sec now add another 100hp and what do you get???? |

Re: A farewell to Musashi.
^^Didn't they still have the base model for the 1st gen? I thought they offered the base which just didn't have standard features like ABS, theremostat in dash, leather, etc. I'm pretty sure they did.

I was only considering 91 octane since that's really all we have around here (also 89 and 87). I guess on the fact of 94 octane you would no more about that than I would. I'm going off of what I know with very HC dirt bike motors and what they run on. I was just applying what I know about that to this.

Re: A farewell to Musashi.
Ok you got 5k, that is enough to get another 3kgt, or upgrade and finance part of it. Come on man, you cant drop out on the 3K especially with the interview coming out... Ahh all the answers about our cars, the background, the history... The true meaning of VR-4

GTOs: The SR is pretty much an AWD SL The TT is the equivalent of our VR-4 The MR (stands for Mitsu Racing) is AWD with the same 9b turbos. It lacks some of the features the VR4 has, such as AWS and some other stuff, simply to save ~30kg in weight. And it has shorter gears, than the US vr4. Quote:
Yes there was always a base. But 91-96 it had the same 222hp DOHC motor as the SL. 96 was the last year of production for the Stealth, which had always had the SOHC base model. So in 97, Mitsu switched the base model 3000gt DOHC motor out and put the 161hp SOHC motor in, until production stopped in 99.

Re: A farewell to Musashi.
Hijack my thread! I'll flight 93 all of your hijacking asses!
Yes my 3000GT was a base model. 94 base model had the DOHC. SOHC wasstn introduced till late 96 production, sold in 97 and up. Ralliart man dont fight with the noobs, those kids need guidance and support so be a big brother will ya? I still see my 3000GT daily, the kid I sold it to works down the block from my pharmacy so I see him all the time.

Re: A farewell to Musashi.
^well thats pretty cool. Do you miss it much? That's the problem I have, I'm not sure I want to sell it to someone local because it would be hard to see someone else driving my car :-/ SOHC came in 96'???? Now theres something I didn't know.

Re: A farewell to Musashi.
^late 96 mang... in other words, the cars were made in late 96 but were bagged as 97's and sold... you always see 2007 production cars comming out in late 2006 right? it's the same concept. My z is a good example, technically it's an 89', but it was made in like June of 88'
