Re: how many of you n/a are sick of being uinderestimated?

Hi, am new here and i just bought a 96 3000gt sl stick,
i believe it the best year for the 222hp/205trq because i check that it was the lightest year(3350pound not much of a difference) and it hella comfortable, known to be the best comfort also for 96. Will this car for sure somke a gsr because I just got a bunch of my brother friend trying to race me, but am not that good in racing because i just know how to drive a stick am good with it, but my big brother on the other hand who is the best stick driver in his team he drive a 97 del sol sohc(only intake mod) and he like beat or hang alot of his friend like rx7,wrx sti, civic si, rsx, 300zx,mr2 trb etc. So he will be the drive what do you guys think? I know people said it hella heavy but i have drive the car n it no ordinary toy, it hella fast......i think people talk sht becuz their jealous

Please don't tell me you think your brother's nearly stock del sol competes with rx7s, sti's, 300zxs, and turbo mr2s....

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

the 2005 RSX is 210hp at 7800rpm with 143lbs torque at something... so you'd probably beat it either way...

even if they dont know how to drive, they should still be able to take the del sol. There's a turbocharged del sol with quite a few mods on it, and in the 1/8th he can barely break into the 9's, he only runs 9.9's which would come to around a high 14 to low 15 in the quarter. Not very comparible to an STi which is a low to mid 13 second car stock, even if they guy couldnt drive an STi.

well i think i should set something straight, it's Del Slo not Del Sol ;P, but yeah unless they literally cannot drive a stick all those cars would beat your bro's car. Also it is annoying that even after you pass them and leave them a ways back they feel the need to come and speed by you, i guess it makes them feel like they won or something *shrugs*

Just to solve this complicationg with a Stealth RT or 3000GT SL Beating an RSX. The night that my engine blew in my stealth, I was racing a new 2005 RSX. My car is pretty much stock.. just so you know. Well.. when I was racing him.. it was a stop to go race. He was neck and neck with me for about.. hm.. 2 seconds and then my stealth took off.. Right before my engine went.. I looked behind me to see how far back he was.. and there was a good 7-8 car lead I had on him. So if you plan to go race an RSX.. put some money down on it. Easy win.. no doubt.

EDIT: I was doing about 105 before my engine went.. just shifted into 4th at 6500 RPM. So the lead was totally getting bigger..

Speaking of which, Del Sol vs Stealth RT..

Im pretty sure that I would blow the del sol away, but just wondering if I should be careful or not?

LMFAO Hehe So true....but it's people from NorCal that says that. Hehe We say "hella" and "hecka!" I'm from NorCal but came to SoCal for school and when I say stuff like that, people just kinda give me a weird look. But then those from Northern California would notice right away and point it out.
