dont feel bad, you'll get crap no matter what you are. I have kids in pick up trucks try to pick races with me all the time, with 18T's. Even when i just give them a little spool and blow off, they still want to run. I just laugh and ignore them. Gas is too expensive to waste on morons.
Well, except the one time a truck tried to race me, and i didnt even get on it. I think i built 1 lb of boost and just kept the tranny shifting gears around 3500 rpms and still walked away from the truck. Once he saw i wasn't trying, he slammed on his brakes real hard and turned off at the very next street. I laughed all the way home. And then, the ever popular mustang GT's with some dude in it driving trying to show off to his girlfriend. I bet his girlfriend laughed at him the rest of the night as hard as i pulled him. I even gave him a 1 car head start before i gunned it too.

Re: how many of you n/a are sick of being uinderestimated?
A first gen talon tried to race me last night, he launched the hell out of his car but I didn't want to take off since lots of cops in that area and little room on the road to race... Pluss my best friend was in the car with me and I didn't know if she was cool with it. The dude pulled in front of me as soon as I got on it after seeing he wanted to go... should never pull into the other persons lane.. He was lucky I saw him since the front end comes way the hell up when you get on it and talons are tiny. He looked 14 when we got side by side at the light.
Similar thing happend with a canned integra on the highway, we got side by side and I shifted from 6th to 5th at about 90mph and continued to pull about 3 lengths on him, after having my fun I shift to 6th and drive normally seeing as though we are coming up on a bit of a blob of trafic on the highway and he comes flying past and pulls in front of me real quick.. dunno if he thinks he won or had some place to get to in a hurry and needed to skirt around traffic.

Ohh they do, my sisters friends family is from South Korea and they're pretty rich and move back and forth a lot between here and there a lot, they bought the most top end limo like hundai they could and it broke down real bad afer like only two months... They sent a leter to a hundai executive in korea and he gave them their money back then killed himself shortly after apparetly. They now have a nice lexus.

Actually my sister got a Daewoo for her first car. Got rear ended, and the whole thing folded up like a sardine can, the rear axle was physically in the back seat. Not very strong are they?
Right now I'm looking to get a 95 3000GT na, but only if the seller will let me take it to my mechanic, thing has some f-ed up vibration under the body. Took it for a test drive today though, wasn't expecting a lot because I just blew the motor in my 97 Eclipse GS, and I have liked 3000GTs for a while. So I knew that the 3000GT was a lot heavier than my Eclipse had been. Let me tell you though, I stepped on the throttle just a little bit and the car took off. I think I'm in love...Hahaha. I actually had some Civic EX come up behind me flashing his lights trying to race...So amusing it is. Now just to think of what would happen if you were to put a VR4 sticker on the back, people would challenge you thinking that you've got the VR4, then you smoke 'em and tell them afterwards that they just got burned by a 3,300+ pound car that's NA. |
