Re: intake question

I'm gonna go ahead and say that you wont notice a difference between a cold air and a ram air. I have seen a few CAI made for the NAs but realistically you are only talking a few ponies at best. I'd go with a intake you trust for filtration, as you dont want sh!+ in your engine, but as far as hp, I personally don't think it matters, go cheap.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: intake question

I'm pretty sure that CAI will work better. But wut matters is the place that u live. If it rains a lot, hell no you ain't getting CAI. I have a friend that got a CAI on his TL, when it was raining, he just ran over this puddle, and the intake sucked in all the water into the engine, and it died, cuz the air filter is at the bottom, and it will suck in "low thing" easily. He had to do hella shit to the engine, i think almost rebuild, to make it run again. Not sure about our 3000gt, cuz I've never seen a CAI installed on 3000gt. So it's up to you man.

Re: intake question

For filtration, K&N is numero uno!

Re: intake question

The way i did mine is i ran a pipe from an opening in my front bumper and ran it to my intake filter, so its pretty much like forced air into the filter

Re: intake question

^^ fyi I'm an insurance agent. with any car you drive, your liability rate is going to be the same no matter what car you have. don't bitch about your rate because if you change that to a 1990 honda civic your rate will be the same.

the only difference it makes is when you add h&e (comp & collision AKA "full coverage" )
