Re: whats the rarest car you've seen on the street?
the 456 shooting brake to give its proper 'name' might not've belonged to the sultan as i recall one coming up for sale (or was it an auction) last year or so.
as for car sightings. this one totally knocked me sideways. jaguar e-type fhc (v12) in british racing green. in hk. not just hong kong but back end of yuen long of all places, around the corner from "little b's desserts place. |

Re: whats the rarest car you've seen on the street?
My old neighbor had a 55 Gullwing. His father had given it to him who had originally bought it. I rode in it twice (between 10 and 12, they moved afterwards). I would have married his ugly and fat daughter if it meant me getting the car.... hell, if he had had a son I would have married the son if it meant me getting the car. Silver with red interior. Simply amazing car. Under 25,000 original miles with not a scratch on it. Last I heard he was somewhere in the Ft. Worth area, but that was a good 10 years ago.

a working Yugo! ha ha
seriously- probably a 1920's Bugatti I saw Jay Leno driving once. It's not every day you see cars like those on the road anymore.... (excluding parades, car shows, etc)

Re: whats the rarest car you've seen on the street?
How's this for rare? 1910 International Touring car and is as original as is possible. One of only 3 known to exist and the only one that still runs (so I've been told). These cars were only made in 1910 & 1911 by the International Harvester Company. It's a hand crank start from a 6 volt battery then switches to a magneto. (usually starts on 1/4 crank) 4cyl, 3 speed plus reverse. 2X4 wood frame, buggy style suspension, leather seats and top. Original Isenglass/Isinglass (sp?) side curtains are under the back seat and have never been unfolded. It's a fun car to drive and has less than 10,000 miles.
You can see better details here: www.msnusers.com/variouspics Click on Pictures and enlarge I know it's an antique, but I consider it a "classic" car.

Re: whats the rarest car you've seen on the street?
OK, so my friend and I were going to see the movie "Munich", and it being a saturday, the lot was full. So we were going up and down the isles when I hear him say somthing to the effect of "Holy s#!t, look at that car!". And he's not into cars at all, but it was a new 2006 M5 (parked). Which was funny because another friend of mine that we were meeting there's father has a friend who just bought a silver 06' M5. So these were most likely one and the same car. So we finally find a spot, and I say that I have to get a pic of it. I run down to it and as I'm waiting for cars to pass (so I can get a clear shot), I see a Rolls-Royce drive past. I think it was a Sliver Serph.
But a new M5 and a Silver Serph at the same time? Quite amazing considering this is Minneapolis (well, suburb really). And as luck would have it, I didnt get a pic of either.
