Zafira help needed please

Hi,

I have a 1.6 club with 26000 miles on the clock.

It is in for a service at the moment and I have been advised that the timing belt needs changing due to the car being 4 years old.

Does this really need doing or are Vauxhall trying it on?

Cheers

They say it is also time dependent, and the belt can deteriorate with time, and if it goes is expensive to fix. So you take your chances! Next time get a diesel it has a chain whick doesn't need changing, although Vauxhall tried to tell me it was a belt that did!(the service manager was wrong! - fills you with confidence!)
