Re: Kr 211v '06

Hey Roca,
this is looking great. I'm waiting for the result.

When I'm making welds on a tank or other stuf I always use some stretched sprue. This I glue on the pieces with tamiya glue. Afterwards I put some Humbrol glue on the welds to make them weak and then I use the back of an scalpel to make the curves.

This works great

Re: Kr 211v '06

no but it is simple.

just heat the sprue and pull on both sides until you have the thickness that you want. Then glue this one the pieces. The rest is as explained above.
I did it to make the welds on my M1. When the pictures are taken I will post them in my thread.

Re: Kr 211v '06

Thank you guys!

I have some photos but I'm waiting for tomorrow to have the completed progress on the chassis. It is almost finished so I think that tomorrow will be finished (the main shape) I will start with the welds soon and then with the rear suspension.

Bye!!
Roca.

Re: Kr 211v '06

Thank you Duncan!!

Today I'm very happy, I almost finished the frame so I have to make the welds (this time well done) and I will start the rear part of the frame (for the rear suspension)

Also today I modified the seat cowl in order to give it a little of width and solve some mistakes, next step will be to polish all the epoxy putty and then check the tank.

Here are the pictures, excuse me for the colour.. is the first I took but anyway it is a very clear paint (of course It is only to see how is the piece)

Note that the triangles of the sides of the frame aren't completely triangular tomorrow with the welds you will see what I mean.

I hope you like it! Tomorrow more.

Bye
Roca.

In the next hour I will show you a picture of the left side of the frame with the welds made.

You are a magician Roca. Did you just put the welds on with the "needle" on the bottle or did you work on them with some tool? Love the pink frame by the way ;-)

Re: Kr 211v '06

Thank's!,

I forgot to mention an operation to the chassis, the styrene was to thin after too much time polishing and then it has been broken

You can see the result on the previous pictures (the pink chassis)

Working on the bottom of the hole, I want to start with the rear suspension... but first everything must be correct in order to not to have problems with the suspension later.

As usual.. a lot of work to do.
Roca.

I forgot to respond, sorry. No, just I used the blue tube you saw on page 6 but the secret is move the tube while you are pressing it, in different ways back and front, but with a little of angle and always pressing with the same force to make the weld the same width.
