Re: How Fast have you gone in your VR4?

Then how come everyone has heard of the 300z fairlady, but no one has heard of the others being called fairladies?

And who's your friend with the 800 horse VR4? That would make him one of the fastest and we must have heard of him.

And why do you keep ignoring people who ask you to post at least what turbo's and injectors you have? It wouldn't be that hard unless you're making it up, and it's not like anyone's gonna copy you.

what turbos and injectors do you have?

those turbos could theoretically get you into the 700+ hp mark at the crank with a lot of supporting mods and a lot of good tuning but those injectors will not.

if i am not mistaken those are 440cc injectors or in that range (anyone know) and so you would not have enough fuel even on race gas to come anywhere close to the 700 hp mark. if they were 720+ cc injectors, maybe maybe you could have that kind of power. i suggest you go to an awd dyno, it might be a humbeling experience.

well i just confirmed it with the skyline folks. the biggest injectors ever to come on a skyline r33 were 440 cc injectors. therefore, assuming your car is in good tune, you should get about 1 hp per cc which would get you to 440 hp at the crank. 25% of 440 is 110 so with the drive train loss you should be making about 330 hp to the wheels. that is why i asked about the turbos and injectors because i thought that would be enough info to show that you did not have anywhere close to 750 hp. even if you had twice as much hp (660) you would still be about 100 hp short of your claim. either someone lied to you or you lied to us.

we have a lot of drive train loss due to the AWD. most say around 25% drive train loss. from that figure i got 225 for first gens and 240 for second gens. that seems a little low though. anyway, the AWD is worth not being able to claim as big of wheel hp numbers.

for the race, go to 3si.org, i am sure there are plenty of people that are willing to race you on there. if you want to find someone in your area, just go to the regional section and find a local group.
