Re: McLaren MP 4/6 Honda - Tamiya 1/12

Works continued.
The valve caps on the lathe sued four electric fittnings (Ø 2.5 mm) of which wires go to the spark plugs.

Side tunnels were given a composite of my production (tissue glue and water)
Once dry, I wiped the sandpaper.

This is shaping up as magnificent and unique build. Your work on engine detail and all those CF textures look wonderful.
Great pleasure to follow. Keep up this amazing job you're doing.

Monocoque painted semi-gloss black and then a mixture of semi-gloss black with gunmetal and with the further distance of about 30cm and again the black semi-gloss and blend again.
And so I repeated a few times until I came out a satisfactory result.

Re: McLaren MP 4/6 Honda - Tamiya 1/12

After careful viewing images from the Internet ,Tamiya Perfect Manual brought out electric cables, not counting the hours spent on the net and looking at photos to make out with cables, but where-where did it.
And so it seems

I also did this element of polystyrene (painted Alclad polished aluminum) tubes and caps from the HD.
And here the effect

Here the work done

The left side

The right side

cockpit

The steel plates, tubes and screws from HD also made the thermal shields

Together with the engine

Re: McLaren MP 4/6 Honda - Tamiya 1/12

Today, brake discs and brake calipers.

Two halves of the brake discs CA glue, excess gathered on a lathe.
For a long time I thought about getting a carbon fiber effect.
And so one after backing painted metalizer dark iron and then a dense X-10 gun metal spat irregular periods.
After drying the friction surfaces gently rubbed with sandpaper and painted with a mixture of semi-gloss and gloss clear. Brake calipers painted SM tytanium gold . Between successive stages was wrapping masking tape which I love. : evil:
I added screws, vents and the brake fluid tube connecting the terminals
At the stage of the hub assembly ready rockers will Brembo logo, blades of the pads and the brake hose.
