Need for speed SE help
Have any of you guys been able to run NFSSE in Win XP?
I keep getting a "thread failed to open window" error. I would really love to be able to play this game again. |

Re: Need for speed SE help
it's a great game but sadly it won't play on XP, I've tried too, it's one of the best NFS but it just won't work with XP.

Re: Need for speed SE help
you can try running the game in a different compatibility mode. if you right click the icon for the game and goto properties then compatibility, you can change the game to think its running in win98 or win95, try and see if that works.

I tired running it in Windows 98 mode and it still wouldn't work.

Re: Need for speed SE help
Yeah, I found that in another forum. It started installing the first time then crashed. Now it doesn't work at all.

Re: Need for speed SE help
Thanks for the reply though,
I think that is the only solution. I should be getting a new computer in the next few months and will try it on the new one.
