coolant overflow
okay, this one has me baffled. 98, 3.0 liter 194k, coolant is overflowing
out of my reservoir tank. Not doing it all the time. maybe once a week, seems to do it when I am coming home from work and stop at one or 2 places on the way home. fluid level is correct. it will go 5 or 6 days and not leak a drop. it was pouring out yesterday. don't have a clue what to check. changed water pump about 6 months ago, but I have done that about 4 times on this car, so I know how to do it, wondering if I got a bad one. but cooling fans are not coming on when overflowing, but they are working fine. could i have a blockage. |

Re: coolant overflow
Any evidence of a true overheat? Might try a new rad cap and/or thermostat.

Re: coolant overflow
no signs of overheat, just coming out of overflow tank. tank is at minimum cold. oil looks okay, no white smoke yet at least.

Re: coolant overflow
Does your ASD relay allow the fans to run for a short period after shut down.
This used to be the case but I'm unsure about this vehicle. Watch this as it could be where your problem is located. |
