98 MRoadster Questions
Hello everyone. I'm new to both this forum & BMW, as I just purchased a 98 MRoadster. I do have a couple of questions I need help with:
1) Is the dealership the best place to purchase an owner's manual? (The previous owner lost it) 2) The driver's side seat belt clip (located on the seat itself) broke & I have a replacement for it. However, it appears that the only way to repair it is to remove the outer leather, fit the new piece, & reupholster the seat. There's has to be an easier way, correct? 3) The clock located next to the volt meter & oil pressure gauge does not illuminate. I have a replacement bulb, but wanted to know the best method of removing various pieces to fix it. 4) When the vehicle is initially turned on, I see, under the speedo & tach, an oil pressure meter. If I'm reading this correct, the further in the red the meter reads indicates the need for an oil change, correct? Thanks to anyone that could help me with these issues. |

Re: 98 MRoadster Questions
The seat cover peels off the seat to change the belt holder. Move the seat forward, go to the rear of seat, unclip from bottom, roll open the joint in the back slide the panel down and remove, remove the leather from metal frame. at this point you can change the belt holder.correct assumption with the service lights.

Just be careful to keep the rubbery side under you. I know of three guys who have pushed it ajust a little bit much.

Re: 98 MRoadster Questions
One more question, how do you change the bulbs on the heater control panel? I see the power wires but no bulbs are obvious. I have almost everything off so any help is appreciated. Thanks!!
