2010 50 Years JEGS Chevy Cobalt Pro Stock 1:25

Hi

Starting with a new wip, the 2010 50 Years JEGS Chevy Cobalt Pro Stock Dragster of Jeg Coughlin.

The body is from competition resin in 1:25









The chassis is a 2000 Revell Summit Firebird Pro Stock...







...Micro Nitro wheels and Slixx decals







Cutting off the hood and driver door, fixed them, then Tamiya primer and Tamiya Camel yellow.







This was the original engine in built condition....









...and here at the moment with some more details.

Hi

Thanks for the positive feedback...

Starting to detail the engine with some scratch parts, Detail Master combination fittings and hiro wire.



















Cutting off the chassis and make it a little bit longer with some Evergreen rod.















Stripping off the chassis....

Hi

Starting to fix the chassis..







A new centre-tunnel console...





and new floor panels.










Fixing also the wheel tubes.





A plate on the cahssis and stripes on the rear bumper are fixing the body.











Scale Motorsport Fiber Decals and clear coat for the wheel tubes.



Carbon Fiber Decals for the centre-tunnel console and foam ruber for the floper panels.
Starting also with the roolcage 2 days ago.

Hi

The rollcage is almost done but it was a long way.
The cage was build step by step with .080", 1/16" and .040" evergreen rod.



















Cage and body together...











...and this is the finished one, ready for putty, sanding and primer.

Wow that cage is a thing of beauty! I still struggle to make roll cages that realistic, so I am really liking yours.

Thanks for the positiv feedback...

The rollcage is done, painted with Tamiya grey primer and TS-38 gun metal.



Carbon decals for some rods.





.015" plain and carbon decals for the driver side.















At the moment, iīm working an the seat.

Hi The seat is done with carbon decals and leather. The frame is also done with evergreen rod and the firewall is finished. The shifter is scratch build with different Evergeen plates and rods. Starting again to fixing the hood. More pics are following

Chassis, Firewall and rollcage are done.







The fire bottle is made of Evergreen...





...and Foam rubber for the cage in the passenger Side...



...and a plate between the inner rod houses.



The pedals are also scratch built.





The seat is also done, the seat belts are from Scaleproduction.



This is the Chassis at the Moment.

Hi

Fire push buttons are made of Evergreen and letter from TL-Decals.





Some bottles and a electronic box for the passenger side.









And all the parts are placed on the passenger side.

Hi

The dash is almost scratch, only the gauges are from the revell kit.













The steering wheel is the original revell one but it got some wires.



The safety net is made of Tamiya Tape and some photo etched parts







This is the complete Chassis with electronic box, seat, kill switch, safety net, dash and steering wheels and a lot of wires.













The Micro Nitro Wheels and Revell Tires are done.













Fixing and painting the Revell rear axle...







...and starting with some small parts for the front suspension.
