Classic Car Industry Career Help

Hello my name is Riley Barth, I am 20 years old and I知 from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. I知 currently a sophomore studying Communications at the University of Pittsburgh. I知 also a member of the Mens Wrestling team. Classic cars really interest me and I would like to pursue a career in an industry related to them. As a college student it痴 extremely hard to know exactly what you want to do for the rest of your life, but I know I want to be surrounded by cars. The last thing I want is to graduate and end up hating my job and wishing I did something else with my life. I知 young and trying to gain experience and get a jumpstart before I graduate. I would greatly appreciate if I could speak with someone so I can really talk about what the classic car industry has to offer. I知 simply looking for knowledge or just a phone call from a professional who can really help me do something and point me in the right direction. My overall goal would be to obtain an internship that would prepare me for a career. I have reached out to big classic car auction companies like Auctions America, Russo and Steele and Gooding & Company just to talk and ask questions like how they got to where they were and how I can get started. They all mentioned that most of them started as mechanics or graduated from a trade school, but I plan to graduate from Pitt and hopefully get involved in this industry. Thank you very much for taking time out of your day to read this and anything will help!

Best wishes,

Riley W. Barth
