200 hp PRV question

Hey! I'm new to this forum but the Delorean is nothing new to me. I've always wanted one since i was a kid and am set on getting one sooner or later. Well, recently i've been doing some research on the car and was wondering the usual questions in my mind: like engine swaps, turboing, and all sorts of usual things like that. I've known about the Delorean place in Houston for some time, its only about 40 miles away from me, and have seen their advertisement for the 200 hp PRV. I was wondering if anyone had this engine in their car? If one of you do, how does it perform. I mean, i dont expect it to be a Ferrari or anything, but i was wondering what kind of quarter mile times is it, like high 15's? If the modded motor can reach that, then i wont worry my mind trying to figure out how to put this motor in where and all those thoughts. Thanks!

Re: 200 hp PRV question

I've never driven one myself but have heard rave reviews. Of course it won't be a scorcher, but apparently it suits the car very well. Consider that a 1986 Porsche 944 is around the same weight with only about 150 hp...gives you a decent idea about the performance of the 200hp Delorean.

It's not an engine swap, it's just a bunch of upgrades to the existing engine, or you have the option to put in a brand new engine with all the upgrades. I remember reading that they were going to have a few different packages available at some point. I would wait for those to come out first, then the original package might be a bit more reasonable as far as price is concerned.
