Easier Navigation

I love the site's purpose, but I find myself returning infrequently because I don't get a sense of a strong community.

With the exception of a few notables, most posters stick to just a handful of forums. As a result, many never get to hear what I have to say about BMWs, and I never get to hear what they have to say about Hondas. I find this most frustrating, and attribute it to the heirarchical organization of the site.

While the AF is organized such that any comment can be directed to a very specific location, it sacrifices the ability to comfortably browse. Seeing as I have a limited interest in Hondas in the first place, I'm not going to go from the S2000 forum to the Civic forum to the Accord forum, and so on. I would much rather go into the Honda forum and have every post available within one click.

I suggest an option within each car manufacturer that allows for all posts to be displayed. That way, I would be more inclined to browse the site, and would consequently return more frequently. (As is, I come once ever 2-3 weeks just to see what is going on. But every time I come back, I am frustrated with this problem).

I would even go so far as to propose an option to completely de-classify the car specific forums. That is, all of the threads within "BMW," "Honda," "Ferrari," and so on, be in one list arranged chronologically from last post. I would come back daily if I could respond to a thread about the new 7-Series and the Cadillac Evoq without having to navigate through the extensive classification system.

I am not proposing the existing forum classifications be done away with. For those who like them, they could select that view. But for people like me who find the heirarchy more burdensome than helpful, it would really increase my interest in the site.

Aaaah, I feel quite the fool. A January fool, as it were.

Any chance of making this possible on specific sub-forums, such as under "Cars in General" or "BMW?"
